Our First Family Maker Night

​The BACIS Leading Ladies held their first Maker Night on April 6th where young girls were able to create and build their own STEM projects. The projects included making a propeller car, creating lava lamps, and Building a small catapult. The girls who attended were quite interested and were asked to participate in a second event where they can inform more friends to attend as well. 

                                                  Round Two: Second Maker Night

We held our second Maker Night on April 19, 2017. This time around we added a new project: LED light button. The girls used LED lights, batteries, and wires to lights up their buttons. The lava lamp project was the most popular: girls used water, oil, and alcasetser to create cool reactions. We also took pre- and post surveys to see the girls interest in STEM change.
